Born and raised in Clarendon Jamaica, Romaine knew from his younger years, that his passion was to serve the people of his country. Growing up he always wanted to be become a teacher/mentor, someone who’d impact and leave a mark one person at a time. He completed his high school tenure at the Knox College High School in Spaldings, Clarendon and it was during these years he realized that his contributions to his people would’ve been through the medical field as a medical doctor.
He completed his undergraduate medical degree in 2020 at the University of the West Indies Mona campus where he was awarded with a Bsc Basic Medical Sciences along with his MB;BS degree. Upon completion, Dr. Smith has been working in the public system of Jamaica as a Medical Officer for the past four years impacting lives, with God’s help, one day a time.
He’s a seeker of knowledge and believes that in order to provide the best for his patients, furthering his education is priority to continue his journey of impacting the lives of his patients. He’s nearing the completion of his MRCP (UK) post graduate diploma In Internal Medicine which will allow him to complete higher specialist training in Internal Medicine with a sub-specialty in Endocrinology & Diabetes in the United Kingdom.
Upon the completion of this journey with god’s unwavering strength and guidance, Dr Smith intends to return to his home country, to continue impacting the lives of his country’s people one day at a time.
