Shakil Karim is a Sustainability Strategist committed to fostering collaboration between civil society, the private sector, and public entities. With over nine years of experience in addressing climate change, human rights, and social justice issues, Shakil has played pivotal roles by leading advocacy teams at The UN Conferences on Climate Change. His passion lies in advancing international climate justice, aiming to unite diverse stakeholders and drive policy initiatives towards a sustainable and ethically just future for the planet. Shakil holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and a Master’s degree in Public Policy, specializing in global dynamics and framework design. Shakil leads sustainable development efforts as a Sustainability Consultant for the World YMCA and as a Impact Facilitator with the organization Pilotlight. Shakil is based in London, U.K. and is the current Board Chair of the Green Advocacy Coalition.
