The COVID-19 pandemic has profoundly impacted lives across the globe, presenting challenges that can feel overwhelming, especially for vulnerable youth. From education disruptions to mental health strains, the crisis has touched every aspect of our lives. As we navigate these uncharted waters, our social minds are under immense pressure, affecting our interactions and ability to connect with others.

But amidst the turmoil, there’s hope. In response to the growing cries for help, Y’s Leaders from the Canada/Caribbean Area, a service group affiliated with YMCA and Y’s Men International, took action. Recognizing the surge in issues like suicide and substance abuse among young people, we created a safe haven—a Virtual Summit where youth can freely express themselves and tackle once-taboo topics. Through soulful sessions, seminars, and think tank discussions led by international thought leaders, our summit addresses the pandemic’s impact on social skills and mental well-being.

Our mission extends beyond mere analysis; it’s about empowering young minds to navigate the complexities of our ever-changing world with resilience and grace. This year, our thematic pillars encompass Environment, Mental Health, Migration Issues, and Leadership in a Global Space, reflecting our commitment to tackling pressing societal issues head-on.
